HOW TO GET THERE
Address: The Engine Shed, Lincoln Students Union, Brayford Pool, Lincoln, LN6 7TS
SAT NAV POSTCODE: LN6 7DQ
Please use Sat Nav postcode to get to the venue! (this may not work on apple maps and may take you to the wrong location, if you are having trouble, download the app ‘ What Three Words and type fallen.jolly.twin and this will take you to the right location.)
SET UP TIMES
08:00am
Doors open to traders. You have two hours for all loading and setting up. Tables may not be set up in advance but will be there waiting for you to grab.
09:00am
Cut off arrival time for traders. It’s not enough time to get your stall set up before the fair opens*
10:00am
Doors open to customers.
4:00pm
Close of event. Traders must not start packing away before this time. Please pack away your own table.
5:30pm
Exit time. Any traders still in the building will get a fine from the venue (our venues charge per hour).
Traders must be ready by opening time and not start packing away until closing time. It makes the whole event seem unprofessional and isn’t fair on customers. If the event isn’t set up on time, we can’t open as it contravenes our risk assessment and voids our insurance.
LOADING
There is loading from the back of the building. It is a very narrow road so cars are unable to move unless there is space in front.
Space is limited so please be mindful and park sensibly whilst unloading and then move your vehicle as soon as possible so others can load in.
Depending on how much stuff you have, we recommend parking and then walking your products over. It is a flat load straight into the building from the access road behind.
PARKING
There is parking options at St Mark’s Shopping Centre opposite the venue which is Pay & Display.
Other parking can be found on campus at the University car parks. We always advise organising parking in advance, if you would like to look at other options, you can use Parkopedia on the button below.
OUTDOOR FOOD TRADERS – forecourt of the venue right outside the main entrance. The fair manager will be there on the day to direct if you have any problems.
More options can be found on Parkopedia.
TABLES
You will need to bring your own table(s) unless you have bought one in advance when you booked the stall. Do NOT use a pasting table (these are not strong enough and may collapse during the event).
If you have hired a table you must put away your own table. Anyone that leaves their table may not be invited back. If you require help, please ask the fair manager who will be happy to help.
PROMOTION
As always, the event has been heavily advertised but we always appreciate any extra promotion, particularly on social media. Please tag us in any posts that you share about the event and we will repost where possible.
You can use the Facebook event page to invite local friends and fans, and share photos of the items you will be bringing.
WHAT TO BRING
You can bring tablecloths, mirrors, banners, flyers and business cards. Every item must be labelled with the price. Have a safe place to keep your valuables and money, preferably on your person.
We recommend bringing your own chair as these are not guaranteed at our events.
Access to power is not always available and is at the venue’s discretion. If you would like power, please let us know in advance and we will try to position your stall near a socket. Bring an extension cord and some tape/matting to cover any loose wires. Your electrical devices must be PAT tested.
Please only bring the products as you have described in the application form. Stallholders may not bring different items unless they have received approval from the Craft & Flea team.
We do not allow: real fur; mass produced items; or items that may be seen as offensive.
FLOORPLAN
The floor plan will be sent out on the Thursday or Friday before the event. If you don’t receive the floor plan, don’t worry – the event manager will be able to direct anyone who is unsure of location.
The floor plan is subject to change on the day. Stallholders cannot request specific locations – we rotate the floor plan in the interest of fairness to everyone. Please do not take a table if you haven’t already paid for one.
If you haven’t hired a table and are bringing your own you will find a gap – speak to the event manager if you have any questions or problems.
FOOD & DRINK SELLERS
Food and drink sellers must have already emailed copies of food hygiene
certificates, public liability insurance, risk assessment and other relevant documentation. You will not be able to trade on the day if you have not sent these to the office. You must display allergen information on your stall at the event.
Happy Trading!
